Been trying to understand if one craft type is better than the other. Between defender and interceptor, most people prefer the former and dislike the later one. From it's DPS it is obvious which to choose (0.2 vs 0.145). However, it is a bit more complicated.
As long as the opponent has a good defense (AA), the crafts effectiveness is reduced. With level 8 ships, you get two AA (the column in bold), so as long as these work, the damage by crafts is less.
As reference the defender has a 0.5 system damage and the interceptor has 0.2, and the AA has a system damage of 0.3. The defender has an HP of 3 and the interceptor a value of 2. With this values, the defender survives 10 shots from a AA, and the interceptor 7.
This values change if you are able to destroy at least one of the AA, to only render one operational at a time. So if you want to be able to use crafts, it is important to not allow the opponent to have more than one AA operational at a time.
A value need to be further explained, the skill required. This is how much you need to have in crew present at the hangar, in order to be able to launch a craft in about the same time another one is being shot down. So if you need to have a 49% skill, you then need to have 5 crew members that the combine skill provides 49%. If you have any of the following 5 crew in the hangar, you should achive that 49%; Ninja, Elf, Demon Boy, Eric, Foxy Girl, Trooper, Grandpa, Liu Bei, Medusa, Doge, Monkey King, Dong Zhuo, Mr Coconut, or Gold Trooper.
However, the maximum value that you can achieve is 65% using 5 Silver Paladins. So as long as the opponent has 2 AA working, you will not be able to reach the rate needed to replace your destroyed crafts fast enough, but close. However these are legendary characters, and as such difficult to get. Zhuge Liang, might be the best most can get with a value of 63%. However a more obtainable value would be 55% using 5 characters with a 15% piloting skill
