***CREW TRAINING***
Each crew has a max number of training points available, each point of improvement consumes a training point.
e.g. 2 Stamina and +2% Health is 4 training points.

The higher your Gym/Academy level, the more complex the training routines available. Complex routines improves more stats simultaneously and can improve them by more than the basic level 1 gym routines. More complex routines take longer. A higher level gym just lets you improve your crew quicker. It does not affect the max they can get from it. Even though the gym unlocks more as you level it up, it is VITAL to begin training as soon as possible. A level 1 gym with basic training is still very useful, then just take advantage of the newer options as you can expand it with upgrades and research.
Any of the Academy skills are worth training in to boost the value on your crew you want. The Gym training however, you want to avoid directly training in stamina. Stamina increases the duration that a crew will sprint while in battle. It is a vital stat. However, you will notice that every training session results in possible stamina being earned. You will receive a bit of stamina through the normal training sessions as you put your crew in the gym so running a session that specifically trains in stamina will ultimately damage the potential you have training in the stats your crew needs.
The amount you gain from a training routine is not fixed. How much you get has a random factor but researching gym 101 or better increases the values you get after training. Be careful though! As training results are random, they are based on the max stat increases available. For example, "Iron Man" can award up to 8% health, but up to 4 stamina. "Free Weights" (you basic health training) awards up to 3% health and 2 stamina. It is VERY possible to earn zero or one of the stat you are looking for and more in the one you don't. Completing the "Iron Man" training can award 0 health and 4 stamina. So there is a gamble with any training and no way to control it. It is VERY uncommon to receive a low primary training value, but not impossible.
As a general reminder... training points are shared between the academy and gym so make sure you spend them wisely! You can not (as of now) reset your crew training. Once they are gone, they are gone!
Training improves current and max stats as a percentage. You will not loose out traing a level 1 character, the benifit will grow with them.
Once crew have been in the gym they get a sad face to show they are tired. Training tired crew is a waste of time, you get very little if not no improvement. Tiredness goes after a while (usually takes the same amount of rest as the time they have been training to fully recover and the rest does not begin until the session is ended by clicking on the crew to see the results). This is a debatable topic in strategy though. Tired crew may earn less rewards from the gym but they do still earn points. It is considered better to cycle your crew through so everyone can get max training potential but some very distinguished players are know to just keep one crew in the gym, running them back to back without stopping until they use all their training points. Up to you how you would like to run your training.
You can upgrade your gym while people are in it, but you can not put people into an upgrading gym.
Crew in a gym will follow their programed AIs if they can. So place your gym connected to your battle rooms and the crew will be available in battle.
